Wishes for Our World, is a free new teaching resource based on a unique, beautiful and moving letter from a grandfather to his grandchild, written by award-winning author Michael Morpurgo.
Coming very soon, it will be available to download here from February 4th.
Created for KS2 English classes (ages 9-11), the resource will allow children to explore the issue of climate change in a thought-provoking and inspiring new way – and will give them the opportunity to write a letter of their own to enter into a national competition.
The resource builds on:
* A new letter by former children’s Laureate and ‘War Horse’ author Michael Morpurgo, from a grandfather to his granddaughter, aiming to inspire us to protect the people, places and life we love from climate change for generations to come.
* A stunning 5 minute film starring Jeremy Irons, to encourage learners to express their feelings about the world in a creative way.
The teaching resource is packed full of ideas and classroom activities that will get pupils thinking, talking and writing.
Watch this space! You’ll be able to download the resource on February 4th and we’ll have all the details of how to enter the exciting competition.
